Once upon a time three homebrew clubs, located in Durham, Wake and Mecklenburg Counties, decided that to identify the best homebrewer in the state of North Carolina, they could add the cumulative scores from each individual homebrew contest together and award the brewer who earned the highest total points the prestigious NC BOY award (NC Brewer Of the Year). The same guy won the award the first three years in a row, and this is the guy!
Meet Keith Houck, long-time homebrewer, Master BJCP beer judge, perennial judge for the NC Brewers Cup competition, and winner of the first three years of the NCBOY award as the best homebrewer in the state of NC. He is the principle of Carolina Fermentation Unlimited, and he is brewing with us at bmc!
We are getting really close to opening, and when the doors are open, come in and try some of the beers formulated and brewed by Keith; you can’t go wrong! He has beer in the tanks and we are almost ready to serve you… one pint at a time.
